Gift voucher items can be deleted like regular items. Linked Shopware vouchers are not automatically deleted together with the gift voucher item. In this way, voucher codes that have already been sold can still be redeemed. If necessary, you can delete the associated voucher and thus all associated voucher codes via the Shopware voucher management.
To prevent individual voucher codes of a voucher series from being redeemed, you can mark them as cashed under Marketing → Vouchers in the tab Individual Voucher Codes of the desired voucher. After clicking on the lock symbol (Mark voucher as cashed), you will be asked to confirm the process.
Important notes:
- Orders that contain vouchers should not be deleted, as the previously redeemed amount is then also deleted and the voucher is available again with its full value. We therefore strongly advise against plugins that automatically delete orders.
- When cancelling an order that contains a voucher, the voucher code must also be manually deactivated, otherwise the voucher can still be used.
