With Pickware WMS, serial numbers or any other additional data can be easily recorded when picking orders and during shop sales via the POS. All that needs to be done is to define in the basic data of an item which additional information is to be requested during picking. The mobile device then prompts the user to enter the serial number, for example, via scan or keyboard, which is then stored directly in the corresponding order in the backend.
To set up the prompt, open the item details for that item and scroll down the Basic info tab to the Settings section. Click the pencil icon to the right next to Required information upon reducing stock and then click Add property type. Enter the desired name, e.g. "Serial number" and click Save. You can now use the drop-down menu to select the desired information type(s) to be prompted during picking or shop sales.
