What is Pickware?
Pickware is an inventory management system that is integrated directly into your Shopware backend. This allows you to manage all your data centrally in Shopware, while avoiding duplicate data storage. You don't need any additional installations with their own infrastructure and, as usual in Shopware, you can access your backend with an unlimited number of users from any operating system. Only WMS and POS require a licence for each device used. In addition, you can continue to use the numerous plugins from the Shopware Community Store without any problems.
The modules for Shopware versions 5 and 6 differ in availability, range of functions and price structure. Many modules for Shopware 6 are currently still in development, but will also be available in the Shopware 6 world with the familiar feature set from Shopware 5. You can find the current status on our roadmap. Many functions that are available in Shopware 5 via additional plugins are integrated into the main modules in Shopware 6.
Pickware consists of the following components:
- ERP integrates central merchandise management functions directly into your Shopware backend and forms the basis for WMS and POS.
- WMS accelerates and simplifies your processes in the warehouse and shipping by using mobile devices with barcode scanners.
- POS is the iPad point of sale system for in-store sales or for mobile use at trade fairs
- Additional modules offer you the possibility of direct integration of dispatch providers, DATEV interface and much more.
Nutzungsvoraussetzungen
To start with Pickware ERP powered by Pickware in Shopware 5, you need a Shopware online shop in the Professional Edition. You need at least Shopware version 5.2, but we recommend Shopware version 5.2.8 or higher. In Shopware 6, our ERP is no longer linked to the Professional Edition and can therefore also be used in the Community Edition. Further software, especially external warehouse management, is not required. Only the integration of payment service providers via corresponding Shopware plugins can be useful in order to automate these processes as far as possible.
For the use of WMS and POS, you also need the appropriate hardware from our Pickware Shop in addition to the corresponding plugins. You can find more information about this in this article.
The Shopware system requirements generally apply to Pickware. Please note that the performance of the server should be adapted to the size of your product range and the number of orders in order to ensure smooth operation in the Shopware backend.
Please note that both the stationary version on the iPad and the mobile version of the POS app on the iPod touch / iPhone only work on Apple devices with iOS. The use of Android devices is also not supported, as due to the many different device sizes there are no barcode scanner covers with a comparable fit and quality as for Apple devices.
Testing Pickware
Demo shop
If you would like to get a first impression of Pickware, you can log in directly to the backend of our demo shop. All our plugins are pre-installed there and can be tested for as long as you like with the demo data provided.
In addition, you can also download our apps Pickware Picking, Pickware Inventory and Pickware POS from the Apple App Store to your iPod / iPhone or iPad. Use the preset Pickware Demo Shop profile within the apps to also test the Pickware WMS and Pickware POS functions such as picking, shipping and stocktake.
Download trial version
All our plugins can be used free of charge for the first 30 days, so that you can get a transparent insight into how they work in your shop in advance. If you own the Professional or Enterprise Edition of Shopware 5, Pickware ERP is already included and can be used to its full extent.
Live Demo
Alternatively or additionally, we also offer live demos to demonstrate WMS and POS, where we can show you the functions of our plugins via video transmission and specifically answer your questions. Contact us and find out more about the live demo. If you would like to find out more about what to expect during a live demo, we recommend this post from our blog (only available in German).
