Before you start using Pickware WMS productively, it is necessary to maintain important data in your shop. In the following you will find a recommendation on how to proceed.
Maintain bin locations
In order for bin locations to be displayed in the apps and for you to be able to use the apps optimally, the corresponding field should be maintained in the item basic data. See this article to find out how you can maintain the bin locations either via the backend or within the warehouse app.
Maintain EAN
To use the barcode scanner in the processes with Pickware WMS, the EAN must be maintained in the item details. You can find information on maintenance using the barcode scanner here. Alternatively, the EAN can also be entered manually in the item details in the backend. If you have items without a manufacturer EAN, you can find out how to create your own barcodes here.
Supported barcode types
Pickware supports all relevant formats, such as EAN8, EAN13, GTIN, UPC-A, UPC-E and Code128.
